First Reconciliation Reminder

The First Reconciliation celebrations are scheduled for Saturday, November 14th and Saturday, November 21st, both at 2:30PM. Please arrive by 2:15 to allow for check-in and in order that we may begin promptly. The celebretions should last approximately one hour. The children should wear their Sunday best. You do not need to bring anything with you to these celebrations. The children may write out an act of contrition and bring it with them if they choose.
Please attend the celebration on the date that you chose, which was verified at the interviews.

Reconciliation Interviews Reminder

This is to remind everyone that the interviews for Reconciliation are this Thursday, November 5th beginning at 5:00PM and Saturday, November 7th beginning at 10:00AM. Please arrive on time for your child's scheduled interview. If you forgot your interview time, the sign-up sheets will remain posted on the bulletin board until Thursday morning in order for you to check them. It is extremely important that you do not miss your interview time since all children must be interviewed before receiving the sacrament of Reconciliation, and we have very little time between the interviews and the Reconciliation celebrations.

When you arrive for your interview, please enter through the Family Life Center door at the very back of the church off the parking lot. Please bring the child's completed book and completed interview checklist including the child's prayer with you to the interview.

Reconciliation Retreat Reminder

There is only one Reconciliation retreat remaining. If you have not yet attended a retreat, you MUST come this Sunday, October 11th at 2:45 PM. At least one parent and the child receiving Reconciliation must attend. You do not need to bring anything with you to this retreat. Please arrive at least ten minutes early to allow time to check in. There will be no make-ups for this event. Failure to attend this retreat will jeopardize your child's placement in the Sacramental preparation program.

Reconciliation Retreats

This is a reminder about the Reconciliation retreats. At least one parent and the child who will be receiving Reconciliation MUST attend ONE of these retreats. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to allow time to check in. We will begin promptly at the time listed. You do not need to bring anything with you to this retreat. Please plan to attend the retreat that you indicated as your first choice on the green sheet unless you contact Ellen about a need for a date change. If you have not turned in your green sheet, please do so by Wed., Sept. 30, or you will be assigned a retreat date.

Also, the interview sign-up sheets are posted on the Reconciliation/First Communion bulletin board located in the Faith Formation hallway. You may choose a date and time for your child's interview when you attend mass or Faith Formation. You will also be given an opportunity to choose a date at the retreat.

First Reconciliation and First Communion 2009-2010

Welcome to the first sacraments program at St Luke Church. This BLOG has been set up to post reminders for upcoming events and to periodically update information on the program.

The first event of the year is the First Reconciliation parent meeting. At least one parent is required to attend ONE of these mandatory meetings. This meeting is for PARENTS ONLY. Please arrive at least ten minutes early to allow time for check-in. All meetings will begin promptly. Please attend one of the following meetings:
